SBL International Meeting, London, 4-7 July 2011

June 5th, 2011 | by mihai |

The International Meeting is held annually outside North America. It provides a unique forum for international scholars who are unable to attend the North American meeting. The meeting normally takes place between the end of June and the middle of August. We eagerly anticipate the 2011 International Meeting in London, UK, during which we will be hosted by King’s College London. King’s College London’s Strand and Waterloo campuses lie immediately north and south of the Thames in the picturesque heart of downtown and within walking distance from Westminster Abbey, Lambeth Palace, the London Eye, and other historical and cultural attractions. Mark your calendars for the meeting, with the opening session on Monday, July 4 and sessions continuing through Thursday, July 7. For the final daily schedule, a list of special events, and travel information, please see theInternational Meeting Planning Guide. As is SBL’s tradition at the IM, the opening session will highlight the host institution’s role in biblical scholarship. We hope to see you there!

The International Meeting currently features 65 program units with almost 100 program unit chairs. A number of special sessions and events are currently being planned, and SBL program units will contribute over 100 additional sessions to the program. For more information on program units, please see the link above and to the right.
