WHEATON COLLEGE (IL) seeks candidates for the Armerding Chair of Biblical Studies (Old Testament). The position is a full time, tenure-track endowed chair appointment that becomes available in July 1, 2013. The successful candidate will have a Ph.D., evidence of outstanding teaching, a track record of excellence in research and publication, and sufficient professional experience to warrant appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. Specialization in the area of Old Testament studies is required. The person appointed will be expected to promote a deepened understanding of the authority of Scripture and doctrine of biblical inerrancy through their teaching and writing, and through service to the evangelical community. The position involves teaching 8 credit hours per semester, primarily at the undergraduate level. Applications will be received until the position is filled.
