The European Culture Forum is an event organized every two years by the European Commission. The goals are to raise the profile of European cultural cooperation, unite the sector’s key players and engage the debate about EU culture policy and initiatives. On this year’s Forum there were larger plenary sessions that focused on the main goals of the European Agenda for Culture. The two full days of debates included smaller, technical sessions dealing with the work of the EU. Plenary sessions started with inspirational speeches that intended to stimulate and provoke the following moderated panel debates in which the audience participated by sharing its experiences, views and questions.

It also considered the culture’s contribution in terms of innovation, jobs and growth, the digital single market, social cohesion and intercultural dialogue, which are also priorities of the new Commission.
